All major class societies have seen the significant advantages of Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) and in fact recommend this maintenance strategy as the most cost effective.

The class approves the CBM implementation and makes sure the organization and Condition Monitoring Service provider works according to the strategy. The class will also approve CBM on individual machines which can be implemented in a step-by-step process.

Documented condition information based on trends can show that the machine can continue to operate and flexible maintenance activities can be planned to optimize resources.

Fewer open equipment inspections result in fewer breakdowns and reduction of spare part consumption.

SPM Marine & Offshore understands the difficulties for owners and operators to implement and maintain a condition monitoring strategy. In December 2014, we received the DNV-GL approval which allows us to assist in this process as a Class recognized condition monitoring service provider according DNV-GL approval program no. 416.

In April 2015, we received the ABS certificate of Service Recognition in Condition Monitoring and in November 2015 the Lloyd's Register approval.

In 2018, we received the renewal certificates of DNV-GL and ABS.

Working with us is a guarantee for our customers in Marine and Offshore to achieve their goals to move from their maintenance strategy from time based into condition based and consequently reduce costs and improve equipment reliability.
